Cheers Flip......

Just ordered a new interface...This one is Bluetooth so MkII could be wireless......

OR give it the capability of a wired 64 button interface..

At the moment though I'm playing Mr lazy with macros.....

Knowing the station I'm based at I just have 2 buttons programmed to cycle the BB....

One to take me directly to the BB from the pad and 2 to esc to main menu and restart.....

All I have to do is manually pick is the mode.....

well that's the prototype finished, now all you need to do is drill down on the parts prices and it will be in the shops by Christmas :D

seriously though, good job, doing stuff like this can be really frustrating, especially when you have to spend £30 on a tool you'll use once :o that's a feeling i'm getting to know with a project of my own (not ED related) i'm looking at having to spend £35 on callipers just to take one set of internal measurements so i can size a part i need made :(

You meant that is not the normal way things go?

I started with buying this game, then hundreds of dollars later (joysticks, headtrackers, keyboards, other software and hardware, paint jobs), I am now thinking of a building a new PC, making a cockpit, VR or Large Monitors, and a bunch of other things......

And you guys wonder why I play Solitaire. Solitaire never made me spend Thousands of $$$$$ :P

I think the project was/is great, kudos to Kharma, I do hope you do a MKII, I think it has loads of potential.

You see, now this is the thing that gets me when people complain about the simulation part of ED, if you can spend hundreds of pounds (like many of us have) on ancillary equipment like joysticks, etc, then that to me smacks of simulation, otherwise we'd all just be playing using the K+M or a gamepad.

If it's a one off, there are loads of on-line companies that'll do 3D printing from you design

It will be a whole series of one off's possibly followed by a production run of 100 - 150 units. there is a big question mark on the possibly though as by then i may go looking for a plastics company to make me a batch instead, it depends on my finances at the time. anyone know someone who works in injection moulding? :D

There is also the possibility of joining the Fab Lab at the local College of Art but that could come with added complications

*Wife walks in room*

I think I might just get a local company to quote though......

*Wife walks out room shaking head*
