Edit- Crumpet, I don't use chaff, heat sinks or any of the like, I do have one HRP on just as a little extra insurance and the best distributor with the second best power plant, just so I can maximize power usage, I was sitting at 13.00 available and 12.95 used when deployed.
Crumpeteater- So, I have a MKIV, and honestly I'm not sure, I don't have any particular set of attack patterns or anything for any ship that I'm fighting, but just last night I was on and took on a 'Conda solo in a HAZRES, and have since decided it isn't the best idea to ram them at full boost, miraculously I survived and made it back to the dock with 19% hull and 39 seconds of O2 left due to my missing canopy, but that was a 250K bounty alone, I made two kills before that one which netted me 500K total, but I'm stumped, I took on that 'Conda full frontal and somehow walked away. I did try to get behind and below him to dodge the turrets on top a lot, but that was about the only planning I had, other than that I just adlibbed the hell out of it. I don't really use the FA of trick much, but I do you my lateral and vertical thrusters to help me turn and pitch faster, helps me kill eagles and couriers, the only two ships that can easily out maneuver me so far. But I do like your response, I mean it is a game, and the goal is to have fun, right? If you're really interested to see how I'm managing it, you are always more than welcome to jump over to Xihe and we'll wing up and go knock some guys outta the sky.
Skip- I agree with you that there is just a different kind of entertainment in flying a small fast ship, I obviously don't have the courier or the vulture yet, but I am enjoying my little ships, not sure if I'll really get into trading, smuggling or mining, but that'll probably be the only time I'm in the larger ships, maybe a python for some challenging fights, like CZ's.
Rose- You posted a lot of good builds, I like the way you put ships together, especially the small fries, but the big ships are something I am clueless on, so having your baselines like that posted for easy viewing means I will have a lot easier time getting set up to do what I want. Thank you
