Living in Switzerland, I see quite a few of them. In fact, as far as older cars go, the Citroen 2CV is probably seen a little more than the T2 variety. That being said, every summer I am surprised to see both on the old Gothhard pass roads and making their way over the St. Bernadino Pass. Someone is doing something right with these 16hp beasts :P

Deep in enemy Federation territory picking up aluminum from the Frigaha system. Whoever on FD was sadistic enough to make Worldridge the CG station in LHS 3447, I hope you"re happy. And you omnipresent Fed agents, you can keep your combat probocis to yourself - thank you.

With 7 out of 8 tier goals reached this community goal may achieve all it's upgrades for the new starting station. Good for the game, and Federation - you owe this Empire aligned Browncoat a drink :)

note : 64 tons of aluminum and I"m in the top 70%, 2M credits payout minimum. not bad.

As someone who frequents the Alps on my motorbike every summer, its not the getting up the passes that would worry me as much as the getting down again. I'll be back again this year, now my French 6mnth riding ban has passed...ahem..

Congrats on the new HOTAS! :D

It took me quite a while to get used to my X-52, but it's certainly worth the effort. Once you settle in on a configuration and really start getting use to it, it'll be great.

I have the clock set to GMT too. ;)

So, today I think I will be bounty hunting until I can make enough bread to throw into a proper mining ship. speaking of which, what ships make good miners? I was thinking of starting out with an Adder, but I don't really know, because the bloody system I am in doesn't sell the bigger transports (ie: type (#) transports) nor do they sell the hauler... Thoughts?

The Keelback and the Cobra mk4 are supposed to be great for mining. Both have a lot of cargo space, hardpoints and internal slots. A Viper4 or a T6 will also do in a pinch though you'd be defenseless in the latter (only 2 hardpoints).

I'd use either and Asp Explorer or a Federal Drop Ship

Here are two builds to consider:
Asp Explorer Mining Boat - The std shield generator has been replaced by a cargo rank. Cargo Capacity is 96 tons. I've left in the E rated FSD as I am going to assume you will mine and sell in the local systems. I've loaded up on A rated limpet controllers mainly for range and you can have 4 collectors out at one time. The size 3 refinery is a bit of a pain in the butt to use as you will spend most of your time clearing junk you dont want. Two medium mine lasers are all you really need and the 4 small pulses are for defense if you get interdicted with your cargo which usually only happens if you take the mining missions on the way out. Shield booster to help the smaller shield generator cope with interdictions. Naturally is you have the cash you can upgrade the FSD. Ideally the way to make money mining is to collect the Three "P"s and Gold, then travel system to system completing any mining missions that are on the bulletin boards. Selling the rocks at the local station is nor cost and time effective IMO and I don't even bother any more.

And here is the Federal Drop Ship Mining Boat:

I didn't do much today. Just three bounty hunting runs in the Has Rez site near Marcy Station in HIP 20524.

Made about 21 million in local bounties, 1.5 million Federation and 300K Alliance.

I stopped after the 3rd run as I just kept making one mistake after another and left with a blown cockpit canopy and 3% hull.

I managed to rank up into "Deadly" for my combat ranking.
