Well Kremainn served me well but the outfitting department simply didn't offer much so I have since moved a few systems over to LHS 3505 which is another really good RES Bounty Hunting location and the orbital, Olivas City, has a much better outfitting department.

So at the moment I am doing some bounty hunting in my trusty Viper Mk III while saving up to outfit an Asp Scout.

I went back to this to comment on how spartan that cutter build was, but apparently coriolis was just showing me the stock one earlier. (?)

I like that build a lot. Mine is fairly similar, but all pulse lasers, weaker power plant, thrusters, and life support, and I have a docking computer instead of hangar, and no fuel scoop.

How are the beams working out for you?
I tried them on my Cutter but the cap kept draining fast and they don't seem to do much damage, so I switched to an all pulse build. Initially I had 2 multis, 1 huge Pac and all others as bursts. But the placement of the medium hardpoints just seemed wrong for the multis.

I brought my new Golden Asp over to the edge of inhabited space a few days ago, then set out on my trip.



Exploring can sometimes go really slowly for me, as my OCD makes it difficult to just zip across the galaxy without scanning everything I see. At the very least, I will always scan the primary star, and will look for any interesting planets in the system. When a system has not been tagged by a CMDR, I'll linger and scan almost everything.



Because of all that, I'm still less than 2K LY from my departure point. I am at the inner edge of our galactic arm, about the jump across the void toward the core. Then on to look for Neutron Stars and Black Holes, neither of which I have seen before. I plan to go to Sagittarius A*, unless I get stir crazy before then and turn back.

Today my bounties finally ended in the HIP 20524 system so I moved my ships back there. It's weird, I am in my Asp loaded with 110 tons of gold no one bothers me. I fly my Clipper out loaded up with more gold and again its all quiet in Dead Rock. Now I am flying in, in a disposable Eagle and every time I came in with the junk ship I was interdicted by some lunatic in a FAS I just boosted away but if it wasn't for my fixation on armor I'd be dead.

Next project was to get my Federal Navy rank up, so I headed over to Tun. Started out at 42% into Petty Officer and ended with 15% into Chief I was interdicted on my navy ascension mission by a wing of 5. Two Cobras and three Eagles. I swear the game hates me, but my trusty Asp did them dirty and I ended up with 5 bounties to collect and only 19% of hull taken down.

The highlight of the day was an assassination mission that I helped my partner with. We are both in Asp Explorers. His is fitted out to pirate and mine is fitted as a cargo/exploration ship. What we have in common is a 4C Bi-Weave shield, 2 beam laser and 4 multi cannons. Oh and all A modules of course.

So he tracks down his target and of course he is in an Anaconda. I said to him "I think we need a bigger ship" and he says "naw, we'll be fine" So he interdicts and the 'Conda pops into normal space and I rolled in a few seconds later. We engage the 'Conda and the split second we do, a Vulture and a Viper IV roll in on top of us. I took out the escorts while my friend was almost made into grated cheese. We got it done though, albeit with allot of damage. It felt good though, it was great fun.

still out in the black, heading to waypoint 20, hoping to get to Beagle Point (23) before end of the month only another 25,000 Ly to go . Then its a think about how to come back.

Trying to run missions out of Azrael. Snagged 3 after switching modes to open. 2 courier and 1 salvage.

Went for 1st courier mission. Handed it in TOOM influence up, Economic boom up. Cool.

2nd courier mission. Handed it in. TOOM influence down, Economic boom down. WTH? This was a Mission from the Order why did it cause a negative effect? And it was a courier Mission.
