For a more leisurely method, a combat fitted Anaconda would be ideal I suppose. Haven't got the cash for that yet but I will. Eventually.

I scan them with a KWS to make sure I get any bounty, then take them out. The Vulture seems to be out manoeuvring ships from FDL upwards and the smaller ones don't last long. Although, I have to watch for wings of the blighter's.

FYI I get more solo kills per hour in the high res than a haz res - I tend to be a little more cautious in the haz res and it shows in my balance at the end...
CMDR Abil Midena wrote:If you are trying for Elite, you want a ship that kills FAST. Hunt the highest ranking opponent you can find, regardless of his ship type. In my experience, the ship that kills ships (big AND small) the fastest was the Conda. Working a CZ will let you have a constant flow of targets and let you choose them by rank.
As always, ymmv.
Darr Valen wrote:When I equipped my Cutter with weapons, I had no real problems with ships until the Anaconda and above.. I held my own against them, but they're just a bit too tough for a trader outfitted gunboat. I will however be trying them again. I want that Elite ranking, but I want it from skill, not from sheer spam-a-lot kills.

Has anyone else seen this?
Did you have email notifications set up for "What are you doing (in-game)"? This thread was moved from there.

Yeah, compromised nav beacons spawn high ranked ships. Also, you can find quite a few Elite NPC’s in small ships like Eagles, Cobras and even Sideys, there. Or at least that was the case when I worked my way up the final stages to Elite.
Flip wrote:Sorry, I don’t. They may change, too. The one I used (nowhere near Empire space) is no longer compromised.

Do you know where the nearest one to Azrael is?
