hi all,

I joined Elite-dangerous at xmas, when a friend bought me the Frontiers edition as a gift. Didnt take me long to pick up the basics, learning the basics of combat, flight and grinding "rares" for credits in my trusty type 6,soon seeing me with a pimped vulture and asp to my name, but PvP has never been my forte, dont get me wrong i do enjoy PvP but since the early days of MMO's ive not found "open world PvP" that much fun....except the good old days of southshore/tarren mill zergs in WoW.., ive always found open world pvp imbalanced, hence me sticking to solo or grping with my pal.
last couple of weeks i have been involved with the Canonn Research Group, a grp dedicated to studying the Unknown Artifacts that Cmdrs have been finding, leading up to recent events of the discovery of the so called "barnacles" of Merope 5C, which i have had great fun , but hearing bout some of the problems some cmdrs have had with ganking around said star system has made me stay way from open play but feel im missing out on the immersion of other players.
So i was watching a you-tube video that someone posted on reddit, in which this grp was named, so Google is yr best friend and came across this website and liked what i saw,so signed up both here and ingame, and now looking forward to seeing if this adds another dimension to this great game.

TL;DR...dont like PVP,but like ppl . i got an Asp and im bug hunting, anyone else doing the same?

Ah Tarren Mill, good memories, you'll find lots of friendly players here and Merope 5C has certainly been crowded (but friendly).

Please feel free to add your name to the In game friends list thread, and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimatize to the game while having fun.
