Yeah. I'm putting the VR bug on hold a while longer too. Pascal and Vive seem like a perfect match. Maybe on my christmas wish list.

I've decided to wait a while after seeing the price for OR yesterday.

The same goes for me. It will be interesting to see what the HTC Vive will cost.
Including shipping the OR costs about 7250 NOK. That is nearly 3 times what I paid for the GTX970 card...

Did that 970 fall of the back of a truck or something ?
3500 nok is not 1\3 of 7250, it's close to half though

That's the rub, from what I hear about vive pricing so far, has been "considerably more than the oculus"...

It was on sale for around 2600-2700ish. 1/3 might not have been an exact thing, but close enough.
(I got it very legitimately from komplett.no :p )

Yeah I figured
I actually preordered one this morning. Yes I know they won't ship til June. .
and it doesn't get better.
As I order they switch to euros, ok enough, the dollar is actually higher now.
and with shipping came down to around 753€.
So here in Norway we get the 25% sales tax on top so the whole mother fucker comes down to almost 10 000 nok... geezez

So Yeah. 3x times the cost of a 970 is probably low balling it....
