Thanks, all. And thanks for your patience as I learn the ropes and group rules, policies, practices, etiquette, etc. I do not specifically recall whether or not CMDR was before the user name - so yes, it very well could have been an NPC.

It's not an uncommon mistake for new players to make, however it is extremely rare for one Commander to attack another whilst in Mobius, and even then it's mostly a genuine mistake. That said, as you can imagine we take such things extremely seriously, hence why we ask for visual evidence.

I suspect in this case it was most probably an NPC, certainly the name you mentioned is not a familiar one.

Sometimes this game just sends an npc out to kill you and you are not alone in that.

I suspect maybe combat rank might have to do with it, since after I hit dangerous rank in combat, trading in a shield less type 9 was a no go. Even if I submitted the interdiction I would be dead before the fsd cool down would even start spooling up.

Might just be my bad luck and chance but I traded the t9 for a python and later upgraded to a conda with plenty of shields and guns to kill whatever came after me.

When I first joined Mobius I too was attacked and destroyed. I too thought it was another Mobius player and I came in here kicking tables and chairs over in my annoyance. I got told off for naming and shaming, and it turned out to be a NPC in the end. Thankfully the mods on here are decent and patient people.
