
Got it somewhat configured in the software, using the great description and recommendations that Loriath posted (thanks!).
I set it up in E-D, to what I thought was right, and went for a flight. I was having some trouble with it being too sensitive and just too active.
I kept dialing down the scaling and smoothing to where it seemed reasonable, but I was still on the fence about even keeping it.
I re-read this thread and saw the link that MrGuarnere posted to the YouTube video for in-game configuration.
Ah ha.

That helped things go much better!

I now have a little deadzone dialed in, and raised my scaling and smoothing to get better movement when I want movement. The deadzone setting is helping to minimize the small head movements from translating to the game.
Apparently I move my head a fair amount while playing E-D. Who knew?
Still a work in progress, but I'm liking it so far.
