i missed the stream so thnx for the video.

I really hope they fix the ground textures... because the terrain in the video looks horrific. The buggies are awesome though

Yeah - it's clearly still WIP but wow, does it open up new depths and experiences... Roll on Christmas - I'm off work for 2 weeks :)

Yep, wow from me too, just watched the whole stream.
Loved the responsiveness of the SRV's, and also seeing the cobra landed there really gives them scale.
It'd be awesome whizzing around on the surface, with maybe someone's Cobra flying overhead, scouting out bases, fortresses & outposts.

The gameplay designers wanted it to be fun... and it sure looks like fun to me!

I can't wait to see sponsored races and player run events...I wonder which planets will end up popular for the Elite: Racing scene? :D

Although I am fairly sceptical to how this crew thing would work.
Seriously what kind of game play would this entail, and what happens if you sign up for a crew job, only to have the captain blast off hundreds of light years away from where you parked your vulture ?

Would you have to shoot him and commandeer the ship to get back ?
(that idea would probably be too cool to be implented)
FD say it up's camaraderie, I say it could up tensions and hostility ten fold..
Another issue is simply the players, we want to be at the helm, if we didn't want that we would already be playing something else, and sitting shotgun in someone else's ship is not really my idea of "good times".

Anyhoo I digress,

BUGGY :D

i just wish they would allow us to hire NPCs for wings (up to 3 NPC ships)...the tech is there as its part of the combat training :|

heck I dont even know WHY they made it so two players can be in the same ship....its really retarded imo
