[The clipper does not get enough love these days. I have not noticed a real disadvantage in a fight using the clipper vs a vulture. The extra speed and being able to boost turn more often and using F/A off makes up for most native maneuverability, but then again maybe I have just gone against sub-par pilots in the past.

I still love the Vulture, but even with the size difference saying the vulture is tentatively better is still kind of wrong. The litmus test for me is just asking which would win in a dog fight 80% of the time. In this case a clipper would be the winner in a fight with a vulture 80% of the time give equal pilot skill and both being outfitted for combat. Not equally outfitted, but outfitted best for the given ship.

Then again like it was pointed out the vulture is cheaper and if you are talking PVE only I can see the vulture doing well at a RES. The vulture at a CZ now that you cant get shield back as fast is probably more of a liability than other ships but probably managable. The clipper on the other hand...]

I stopped myself because this topic has been beaten to death. Do what you will and think as you will, but once you have the money you fly a Python or an Anaconda and that is just the way it is LOL.

KW scanning is crucial unless you are in conflict zones or undermining, in RES's and at nav points the KW scanner on average add at least 50% to the bounty value of a ship, on case by case basis the KW scanner could double bounty value.

I have seen plenty of dropships etc that start off on a 40k bounty, after scan, they are worth 140k.

Could do something like this, http://coriolis.io/outfit/vulture/44A5A ... bn=vulture
a 4a sensor would be nice in RES's but would make things that much more tighter power management wise, could for instance completely forget about having a shield cell live.

Wow... How did you manage to fit so many boosters and SCBs. I've been trying to toy around with my config so that I can fit even 1 shield booster but keep running out of power. Now I'm running this config: http://inara.cz/cmdr-fleet/4034/9049
Is it the 2 C3/G Pulse lasers?

Thanks and regards.

Class 3 gimbaled pulse yes.
You might want to double check that fit, its something I just threw together to check what shield strength it would get on my 3" cell phone.

It does look as if the chaff I put on last turns off a booster.
You can either turn off the chaff launcher entirely or downgrade the A to a B rated booster.

People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

I prefer beams. I put up with the recharge/discharge rate purely because of the damage they inflict. Once you get used to waiting for the to recharge theyre great. A salvo from them just rips shields apart. Eagles can go with 1 discharge. Once I am clinging onto the tail of a Conda or Python, waiting doesnt seem to be a problem.

I love the clipper. If I was to go on holiday, I'd take the clipper. Its beautiful to fly and it seems a waste to go shooting with one. I will buy another at some point (sold mine for the T9, I bypassed the T7 altogether as its dreadful). I wasnt as good in combat with the clipper as I am with the vulture. But thats just personal preferences and as fickle as we folk are that can change in an instant. I am already debating whether to buy a conda...I could build a nutjob python too. Choices, choices. Nope stay T9 and Vulture for now until I have 500M Cr. :) My primary aim is Elite trading and the T9 is the tool for that job. Once that is done then Conda or Python it will likely be.
