I've been interdicted by someone with an elite rating when I was mostly harmless. (npc) He said I wasn't worth his time and left though. I wanted to fight him, since it was just an eagle, and raise my rating more, but no dice.

Also, I love the trash talking npcs who have no chance against me. Makes blowing them up even more fun. :D

Got to love a trash-talking mostly harmless npc sidewinder calling me a dreg to my face while I'm sitting in a mostly A class Python. That conversation doesn't last long ;)

I have a similar experience. Not fully A-rated, but I take out other Pythons and Clippers without losing my shields now. I have a lot of NPCs with a higher combat rating turn tail and run after realizing it isn't going so well for them. I kind of hate that... I want the bump in combat rating!

Yeah, mass lock affects low energy FSD jumps- meaning in system ones (going back to supercruise). Hi energy FSD jumps (to other systems) aren't affected by mass lock.

Another tip - if an NPC comes after you do what Xebeth said, if it isn't working (and it does in 99.9% of the cases) and you find yourself losing shields - hit silent running - he will lose you as a target and you will buy yourself some time for FSD to charge. Be careful of overheating though- once you FSD is almost charge switch silent running off.

interesting.. I will have to test this out
In the beginning the Universe was created. This had made many people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - HHGTTGImageImage

I would also suggest getting the *bleep* out of Erevate. It's full of NPC pirates and aggressors even in solo mode. I've noticed a tendency for the overall busier systems (across all modes) to have more NPCs, which in turn means the more you'll see more total hostile/wanted/aggressive NPCs even though the proportion of them remains the same.

For me, it's definitely the pirates that cargo scan my armoured vulture with no cargo bay and ask "how do you make a living?". Just wish there was a way to reply "Here, let my lasers explain."

I like that.

The last few interdictions have been in anarchy areas, so while it helped nudge my combat rating, I got no money. :-(

Though I did take out a Python with 120,000cr in bounty yesterday before that, so I've got that going for me.

Get yourself a kill warrant scanner. It will pay for itself in no time.

Not worried about the cost, but I like having 4 shield boosters to keep my repair bills down. I think it may bring me a little close on power too.
