I sat in Eravate and introduced myself to any commanders that happened to fly by. And then I sat there some more.

Yep. Red and I lead super interesting lives.

Had the anaconda right? :D

Happened to me as well. I reeeeally wanted to have the anaconda just because... you know - reasons. And even though mine was cheaply fitted (190mil for a bountyhunter) it felt brutal. You just sit there, take in all the damage, lose (maybe) 1 shield ring and just obliterate everyone around you.

However - I prefer my Python for RES runs since it really is an amazing ship with awesome maneuverability

Skip, hats off to you mate... Stunning.

Don't thank me - I got the tip from Cmdr Milly1 ;)

I just hope we don't make those pirates extinct in that system like some of us did with HIP 20277 hehe

Yeah the Python still seems to be one of the most adaptable ships I've tried, at least in PvE. While the conda can get really fun to play with experimenting a barrage of weapon combinations, it's still quite limited imo despite the insane amount of utility and module slots. It performs exceptionally well if specialized enough though.

How does that actually work? I saw you parked in the station a couple of nights ago, so I assumed you were beaconing, but I don't really know the benefit or how to exploit it...

There's a way to do it that doesn't involve waiting 7 days?

Yes but it doesn't necessary mean it's profitable. Then again, i think a FINE doesn't take 7 days to make you pay for it. It's the BOUNTY people get rid of.

What you do is find a system you have a bounty in, buy a sidewinder, strip it completely and exit the station. Fly around a police ship and let it scan you. Once they see the bounty on you - they will kill you.

At that point - you lose all bounties in that system, and all other bounties get a "dormant" state. Bare in mind that if you get scanned in a system in which you have a "dormant" bounty in - I'm pretty sure the police will open fire.

From what I know it only works when you're docked in a station or just nearby/beside the thing. Normally when you navlock to someone, you'd jump down 8km away from your target.

If the player is inside the station then you're technically navlocked to the station itself, saving time without having to stop <1000km to safely disengage.

You should be able to get sucked in around 50-60Ls at full speed while on supercruise without landing 20km away from the station.

Cheers - it is indeed the bounty I'm having an issue with. I crashed into a shieldless mining adder in mid-fight in a RES, and it classed it as "murder".

Made it to 45% towards Master by roaming HiRES.
Got myself a bounty for firing too soon and I had to escape from two Anacondas and a FDS. Now laying low for a while.....
