New CMDR's Signing in.

Greetings everyone.

I guess introductions is a good place to start. I am placing a single post for my friend and I, I hope this is ok? My Friend works unusual hours and asked me to introduce us both together, we are sort of a double act anyway.
We are,
Cmdr Death Jester.
Cmdr Tokis Varx.

Why did we want PvE over PvP?
That's an easy question to answer, however not a not a particularly short answer.
Cmdr Tokis Varx and I, have played for a little under a year now, we have come to the conclusion that some of our activities are very costly, (rare trade runs), and the last thing we want is someone to put a significant dent into our pockets. We found out the hard way about making money and it took us nearly 2 months before we could afford our first decent ships (cobra).
From my experience PvP games tend to be littered with (insert very bad words here) players whos sole enjoyment is inflicting grief on other gamers. So as to avoid the very bad people we set up our own private group and invited close friends to join us. We realised shortly afterwards, the galaxy is a very very very big place and with just us 2 flying around it was fun at first, but a tad empty. So we decided to find a strictly PvE group, who limit PvP to the conflict zones.
So here we are.

Do not get us wrong we both like a bit of PvP from time to time, and seen as the game supports this in the form of conflict zones... great! But our sole enjoyment is helping one another in trade run escorting from bad NPC's and more recently performing the the powerplay runs.

We are also the guys from Learn 2 Play. I hope you do not have a problem with 2 players that make vids (badly) about gaming, being in your group.
We are complete noobs at heart, although we have years of online gaming experience behind us both.

I hope this explains and gives you all the info you need to know about us.
I think the only thing left is to ask for permission to come and join you in your galaxy.

you had me at running rare trade runs!

that's my preferred way of making credits in-game myself. I have an Adder at the moment and she's doing alright by me. I also know of quite a few capable rare trade routes, rare trade route theories, rare trade route ship builds, etc. I'd be more than happy to share my experiences and knowledge with y'all, provided I get credit where it's due of course since you guys are on Youtube.

I too, am hoping to start recording my adventures in Elite:Dangerous. It's just such an amazing game, I can't help but want to share it with others.

We also have little side project in helping the Minor faction Sirius Corp grow and eventually help Sirius the system break away from Zackery Hudson's exotation.

I need to come up with some more ideas for E:D content as all we have is a 2 hour rare trading let's play thing.

See? Now this is why I'm interested in PowerPlay. There's actually quite a lot to do in it. But isn't it true that if you choose a power, other rival power's NPCs and CMDRs will immediately see you as an "enemy?" Basically running across the galaxy running rares, it just seems to me not very conducive at the moment to get into PP.

I'm also going to check out that "2 hour rare trading" vid... see what's going on there since that's right up my alley.
