Vary many thanks for your helpful reply. I will look for an A rated Power plant and thrusters etc.

You're welcome, another tip - always make sure your system capacitor is fully charged and run with 4 pips to engines and 2 pips to system, also if you haven't already remove the weapons they just add weight and T6 is a tank to fly, useless in even defensive combat. The braking thrusters are cool though :P

I have made a few adjustments. I had to go for a B class thruster as a class A took my shields away. I also upgrade to an intermediate discovery scanner. I was told by the game that I needed to ass go the scanner to a fire group, which I have done, though if I am honest I have no idea what that means >.<

IDS - Are you going exploring then?

Assigning it to a fire group - depending on what you use as a controller you can assign a button or key to cycle through modules that have fire groups defined, then use your fire button(s) to activate them. So you could have say IDS on fire group 1, chaff on group 2 etc etc. If everything was on the same fire group/button they would all activate at the same time when you pressed the fire button.

For example my Vulture has a burst laser on fire group 1 button 1 and a multi-canon on fire group 1 button 2, this allows me to use each weapon on its own or both together. To use the kill warrant scanner I switch to fire group 2 and use button 2 to activate it. Probably not explained this very well, but I hope you get the idea :P

Helps a lot if you have a HOTAS controller with lots of buttons/switches.

Nub Gamer has fire group tutorial videos also, I found his channel very informative when I started playing E:D.

And it wont cost much, but fit a Chaff module on the ship. Will cause their Gimballed weapons to lose target and throws off their scanners while you Boost Boost Boost FSD away :)
