Hello everyone!

I've been playing since release and been in the group for a while now, but just registered on the forums the other day.

I played the original Elite on my Commodore 64 in the 80s and revisited it a number of times since. I'm more interested in PVE and cooperative games so this group is exactly what I was looking for.

I've mostly been trading, with breaks doing bounty hunting and building rep.

Wotcha folks.

I'm also Rhysling on the main Elite forums. Been playing the game since Dec 16th, having never played it before - Bardster was a Beta backer and got me interested in it. Mainly exploring/trading at the minute, in and around Gateway and related systems.

I love the idea of player interaction in the MMO - even with pirates, if they're not being daft about it - but my combat skills just aren't good enough to play in open, and I don't react well enough to adrenaline that I want to be looking over my shoulder all the time! PVE seems like the best of both worlds (though it's such a large sandbox, I don't think I've seen another real player yet). Looking forward to exploring closer in towards the main systems and meeting real people.

By the way - Artie, I'm not ignoring your PM, I just can't reply to it yet!

My name in game is Lt. Fantasmoslam, but I wasn't aware of the fact that you're assigned the title of Commander, so it actually says Cmmdr Lt. Fantasmoslam. Dumb I know. I'm a newcomer to Elite, but I've played space sims in the past. I'm still getting the hang of this game, but it's pretty fun so far. Bounty hunting seems to be the most fun for me, but I'd like to know more about mining and how to do it more effectively. Anyway, I'm looking to have fun, so I'll see you all around a planet or somehting I guess...
