X-52

Postby Raz0rking » Tue Dec 30, 2014 4:00 pm

I have an issue with my X-52
I killed the cable connecting the flightstick with the HOTAS.
Anyone knowing where i can get a new one without buying a new set? (my pc store could not do anything  )

How did you kill the cable? You if you cut it or pulled it out, Im sure you can reattach it yourself using some wire cutters/strippers and electrical tape.

Inside one of the plug? What plug? What pins? Be specific. Show a picture.

One way might be to simply remove the plug (both the male and the female part of it) and to solder the cable instead. Of course, that'd take some skill with a soldering iron and some thermo-retractible sheath, but it's not rocket surgery. ;)

Sorry to read about your problem, BTW!

Have you tried Saitek customer support?

I've done similar things with minor components in the past and other companies have sent me free replacements. It's called good customer service.

Edit: I'm sure it's just a male to male PS2 cable. You can buy them for a couple of quid.

The cable is a PS2 male to male like pre USB keyboards/mice used. You should be able to get a cheap one on Ebay
