Well if anyone has been on the fence and wanted to try this but the price was a little too high.. this may be the month for you.

"Tobii Partner Month starts right now! Together with our partner SteelSeries we’re making offers you can’t refuse. During the month of March instead of Tobii EyeX you can snag this bundle which includes SteelSeries Sentry eye tracking controller for $139/€119, with Tom Clancy’s The Division, plus we are throwing in free shipping."

Kicker is... the ObsidianAnt code still works.. which drops it another 30% which is $95/€83 with free shipping (which for me was $25)

and according to the Tobii Developer Zone "The sampling rate, the hardware platform and the firmware is the same for the EyeX Controller and the Steelseries Sentry eye trackers. With the latest firmware I believe it averages around 60 Hz when the tracking is good (few lost data points)."

So you get Tobii selling the Steelseries Sentry and a code for "The Division".

Just seen your post Mouse, which reminded me about this so I have just purchased one. A bit disappointed with Tobi as I registered my interest weeks ago and it said would send me an email when they were available again.

But guess I will give the Steel Series version a go for now. 2-4 week delivery time.

Aye, can't find anything that really says there is a difference between them, looks to be same product just 2 companies selling it under different moniker. Kinda like what you see from car companies. It cut into my grocery bill for the month but I can manage, plus you have like 30 days to try it and return it if it doesn't work for you.

oddjodd wrote:Hi Commanders,

We have an update for the Infinite Screen Extension to v1.1. You can download it here: https://files.update.tech.tobii.com/.../download.html

Here is a list of feature updates, bugfixes and known issues for this release:

Features:

- VJoy configuration is no longer reset on start-up so ISE should now play nicely with any existing software that uses VJoy.
- Elite: Dangerous is now supported through FreeTrack protocol instead of VJoy (please review your sensitivity settings).
- DCS is now supported through FreeTrack protocol instead of VJoy (all aircraft/vehicles should now be supported).
- The browse to game executable button is now always available.
- Added a button that will attempt to auto detect the "Game executable path".
- The enable/disable hotkey will now always centre the view in Arma2, Arma3, DayZ and Ironfront: Liberation 1944.
- Added a "Save settings"-button. Settings are now only saved when this button is clicked.
- ISE now uses the latest version of FreeTrackClient.dll.

Bugfixes:

- You no longer need to run ISE as administrator.
- Improved the process monitor (no more "Error: Invalid URI: The URI is empty").
- Binding hotkeys to joysticks should now work properly.
- ISE now works when playing Arma2 and Arma2A with custom profiles.
- ISE no longer launches after installation.
- Improved error handling and logging.

Known Issues:

- VJoy will, like any joystick, prevent Windows 10 from entering sleep mode.
- VJoy has compatibility issues with some other HID drivers.
- Some overclocking utilities might prevent ISE from running properly.
- Compatibility issues with the Xbox One controller on some system configurations.

More information: https://files.update.tech.tobii.com/...easenotes.html

Try it out and let us know!

John / Tobii

Well tracking is considerably more nervous than before, and after a while in use it starts glitching out.
If possible I would like to go back to the previous version.

And now I read you switched over to freetrack it makes more sense.

Freetrack has never not given me problems, and the previous version may have thrown an error on ocassion but at least it didn't jump around randomly like it does now after half an hour.

I admit I'm probably the worst customer you can ever get ;)

I also tried cleaning up my post a bit.
I really should stop posting on my cell phone while I'm mostly watching Netflix .

The tiny screen and battling the spellchecker, all while really paying attention to Breaking Bad. Does not help with my already persistent communications issues ..

Typos aren't necessarily my problem. My thoughts are just to jumbled most of the time, so either I start combining two (or more sentences) or completely forget half it.
Often the result is a combination of the two.

It leaves some interested grammar structures for sure.
And when I post on forums from the phone, like 99% of my posts I don't take the time to reread and correct myself.

Anyhoo.

This latest version of the infinite screen extension to the eyex was not an improvement.
After a week of tweaking settings from scratch I doubt it can get better for me.
And I still feel the need to disable the eye tracking outside of combat maneuvers.
Something that I never had to do before the new version.

I am seriously asking.
Can I get a download link to the old software so I can downgrade?
