Go into your nvidia settings and look for the option to select what is handling the "PhysicX" settings. By default its your GPU. Change it to CPU and try that.

I can't find the thread but someone reported it totally cleared up the stuttering for them.

just tried that, no improvement.

Aw hell. Sorry man. I have had this issue as well, but not to this degree, I dug through everything I could find hoping to find an oddball fix.

its alright, I submitted a ticket and even that hasn't helped... I think I need to try a new graphics card, hopefully I get word back from the one that was being handed out by Emanon

managed to borrow a GTX 660 TI from a friend to test, sure enough, still having the issue. Since it is still an Nvidia gpu, though, it doesn't iron the chance that it is a driver problem out. Really starting to second guess getting this game... I don't want to build a whole new machine just to play it.

Sorry if this has already been said/done/asked, have you done a full re-install of windows? Really annoying but if that is all that is left?

Hi,

Have you tried to reinstall nVidia driver as an fresh/full install? (I did not recollect the right term about nVidias "remove old drivers first and then install the new one" -method.

Not sure if you have already tried, but a complete reinstall of the drivers including a through uninstall of the old drivers.
Firstly download and run the latest version of DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) Run this in safe mode
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis ... nload.html

Then reinstall the latest version for your card, remembering to tick the clean install option on the installer optionsscreen. Also do not install anything you don't need so if you don't need the 3D vision stuff then untick the options, ideally just install the driver and the physix and audio.

Good luck and hope if sorts it.

Are your motherboard drivers all up-to-date?

Have you disabled BIOS features that you don't use, e.g. USB3, COM ports?

I've actually done a complete reinstall of windows, nukeing all drivers in the process, swapped video cards, and even tried a bios update. New ram, done multiple network diagnostics, and tests of the cpu and both new and old gpu. I haven't been able to get even the smallest error out of any component I have... The issue seemed to become even more aggravated when I attempted cpu core parking changes today.

Clutching at straws here but could it be network related? How are you connecting, what's your connection like? I get stutter when new contacts appear or existing disappear, but nowhere near your extent. I've had bad issues with network drops (not stutters) with using Homeplug for some reason. Maybe.....

Cooling. I know you talked temperatures as OK at the beginning but as we are already clutching straws how about running it with the case off and a big-arse desk fan pointing along the motherboard?
