That could be a good thing. Depending on what phone it is. You could set it up with Trinus VR or the other VR programs out there. Reverse tether the phone to the PC via USB (unless you have super speed Wifi the latency will be too noticeable), put it on 'Flight Mode', stick it in a headset and viola! You got an Oculus Thrift! The phones gyroscope and other sensors can be used for the head tracking too.

I did it with a Nexus 7 (2013 model) with pretty good results and I literally know nothing except tinker tinker tinker...

To get the best aspect ratio in Elite, using side by side you need to use a custom resolution of 1920 x 2160 to 'un-squash' the image. Beefy GPU!

Here's a thread I started a while back on the subject: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1718&hilit

It does. And the GUI/setup seems very easy and logical too. But I'm on the couch as well and have concerns regarding tracking at a distance of 2.5 meters. If tracking distance could be confirmed, and I had the cash to splash here and now I would probably give it a go.

Fly safe bud. :)

It's actually on the edge of my normal gaming distance to the screen for me (just checked 87cm).

I was going to build a new pit come spring anyways ;)

Well, the usual they are a bank.

but no I have two accounts already and when I try to reset my password they ask me stuff like what's my favourite colour is or what my mom's high school crush was.

A: I never really reply to those questions since they are THE least secure thing (unless you do what I do and they are totally secure)
B: I usually reply thise some random rant a bajillion letters long using the F word a lot.

Meh, I guess it's time to get paypal account number three,,

Also bought voice attack.
I'm starting to run out of body parts to use for control peripherals now...
Hotas for my hands, pedals for rudder and feet, now eyes and voice... :D

Did not even know they still use "security" questions, must be the last place in the web. Had to check for myself and fix that right away in a pretty similar way. Thanks for the heads up on that :)
I will still continue to use PP as I see it as a better alternative to spamming my card number to every shop I order stuff from.

As for the tracker, looking forward to hear about user experiences on it. They said it works with glasses but I'm sure it is not as good as without them. :geek:
I play on PC, in the Mobius PVE Eurasia group.
