I did hear on Kerrash's stream that the basic discovery data is currently being overwritten by any scans you do. So the tactic is to do the discovery to find the Unknown bodies in the system, then go and cash that in. Only then do you go and do the actual scanning to get more data....which you then sell.

Unfortunately, it's the connection to the cartography data that is down - so I can't even buy maps, let alone sell discoveries or scans or do anything else.

It's really frustrating - I thought they were trying to encourage exploration and so-on at the moment, and I've ventured so far out, I've no idea where I was or how to get 'home' to the base systems. I had systems filled with unknown planets and or stars and the like, but been unable to do diddley-squat because the Cartography is offline.

I've given up on it, now, as I'm fed up with having to wait a couple of minutes each time, only to be told there's no connection to the data server.

Sometimes now, even the bulletin board and commodoties info are taking a while to download (and I'm on a 74MB/s connection).

Ive done some testing and I freely crashed my ship against a station wall to reset all explored data ive gathered. After that i had access to the cartography.
Then I went out to try and scan 2 systems.
The exploring is real borked. I had to scan the systems repeatedly before I got all planets to show up as unknown object.
But I was not able to get any planet names when scanning them closely.

Then I went to a station and try to sell my data BUT I could not access the cartography, same bug as before. unable to connect to the server.
So il guess that happens when you have data to sell.

I don't know if they did something to the servers this morning but the cartography works again so I can sell data.
I could also do exploring. Objects was found and added to the list at first scan attempt and I could also gather planetary data.

The bulletin board is also fast in response now so it seams the lag I suffered is gone

Confirmed....cartographics seems to be working now. I managed to sell my data for a whopping 316 credits.
