Advice on next trading ship please

why skip the Adder? it is a great little ship, and will increase your cargo earnings and speed you to the Cobra that much quicker - and you'd owe it to yourself to try as much of what is available to you as you can in the early stages of the game. it's not the sort of ship you'd come back to once you're whizzing around in Vultures and T-9s, so the perfect time is now to give it a try

400 billion!!! How could they have possible built that? Isn't that like every star in the Milky Way? I guess nobody will be able to visit every single one >.<

Procedural generation, an updated version of how they go so many star systems into the original game. At the current rate of exploration, every single star system will be explored in a few hundred years, maybe thousands.

I guess that Frontier had to take a calculated risk as there is no way they could visit every station in every system searching for bugs before they released the game. I think they have made a fantastic achievement.

Not every system is populated. There are probably about 20K systems populated by the three factions, anarchy and independents. The rest is either Void, or Thargoids at least. We know they are out there, but where? And are they the only ones?

I've decided to continue saving and buy a Cobra III. I have 171,000 credits so I'm about halfway, and, of course, I'll need to ensure I've got enough for insurance and purchases.

Fully A rated Cobra will set you back about 8.5 million......

Just sold mine and got about 9 for it with stripping........

I like a decent all-rounder so I decided to aim for a Cobra when I started - earned enough in my Sidewinder to get an Adder for some increased cargo space (Sidewinder could only carry four tons, but got the Adder carrying ten so that more than doubled my carrying capacity and therefore profits ), then ditched the Adder and finally got my Cobra, which I'm still using. I'm toying with the idea of earning enough money for a Vulture 'cause I've heard they're good in combat (no-one even seems to mention Vipers any more...) for when I want to mess around pirate-hunting so I can have All of the Guns and feel generally more powerful than I do in my Cobra. I'll have to see about it...I'm nowhere near enough money for one yet, anyway.
