Where can I pay off my fine in Lei Cheung (Laksak/Trader's Rest)?

Postby thebs » Tue Aug 02, 2016 11:14 am

Q: Since there is no "Contacts" entry in the menu at Lei Cheung (Laksak/Trader's Rest) ... how do I pay off a fine?

Details/Story ...

So, unlocked Lei Cheung ( http://inara.cz/galaxy-engineer/10 ) and I figured, "Hey, I'll take the SRV out and gather some basics (Iron, Nickel, Phosphorus) as there's plenty on the planet. Just get away from the base, and I should be fine."

Wrong! Apparently, there's still a fine for shooting outcrops, etc..., even if you've "left" the base in your SRV. Sigh ...

Now I cannot figure out how to pay off my fine. According to Inara, Lei Cheung isn't anywhere in Laksak, other than Trader's Rest itself ( http://inara.cz/galaxy-starsystem/4169 ). I guess I could fly around and see if that's not the case.

But does anyone know?

I guess since it's well under 1,000Cr, I just need to H-jump and come back. Although it says 6 days, 23 hours, etc... So I'm not sure. Sigh ...

Go to a station in that system and pay it off there.

Head to a station/outpost in Laksak that isn't Trader's Rest and use the contacts option there. You'll see his fine appear on the board and you can pay from there.

I had the same thing happen with Felicity Farseer and I thought I was going to have to lodge a support request to get it paid off. But lo and behold, her fines appeared on the board in Garay Terminal. So I'm guessing the same thing will happen with Lei Cheung.

Okay, I'll check it out.

I've gotta leave the planet to get some Magnetic Emitter Coils , and Modular Terminals if I can find a mission with that reward, any way. Got Lei Chenung to Level 3, and should have Level 4 after some Level 3 crafting.

It may also be bugged. I may or may not have two fines on me in systems that whenever I go to them, they simply disappear. I have one legit fine atm that always shows up, but I have two others that apparently randomly appear and disappear from my board. I have no idea why or how I can get them to stop randomly appearing since they don't show up when I'm in the system they claim to be from.

It will be very annoying if it turns out to actually cause a bounty when it "expires" because one of them is supposedly in my home system.
