This has been discussed several times, given the various problems with the BGS and how hard it is to gain influence it is not recommended, there is the distinct chance we could loose Rafferty's Mobius if we tried this.

Fair enough, I guess I will head out elsewhere and test the BGS on a smaller scale. o7

I just came from Exioce, visted the system to check on things. The faction gaining influence at the expense of Allied PLC & the Order is Exioce Democrats. From last place they are now 3rd with 9% influence and rising. Apparently, they won their civil war with another faction and are now gaining.

Crimsom Electronics is now in last place :)

Keep an eye on Exioce Democrats , their influence difference vs. OOM is narrower compared to that of Allied PLC. A civil war with them is a distinct possibility.

I would conclude that the substantial weakening of Allied PLC can be attributed to your efforts and that of the other Order Commanders. Note the decrease in influence of Allied PLC was more drastic than ours.

But the situation is more complex than we thought with the Exioce Democrats gaining ground as well.

As I am only targetting Allied PLC ships, all other factions would benefit from it losing grip on the system. I could also target their ships, but that would start to help Allied PLC again. I went for a spot of trading and now back terrorising the Exioce neighboorhoud.

My thinking now is that we (at least I) had too high an expectation!

Perhaps now we should build up Exioce Democrats to initiate a civil war with OoM then hopefully take over their land bases on 4 C planet.

Having a base in system would be a huge advantage IMO before we went on to Allied. Thoughts?

Somewhat risky of being a waste of time as for now we still don't know whether the BGS works or not. QA-Kaes claims that we have lost the last war. I'm still waiting for an explanation and hoping to get one next week when the QA-Team is back to work. Unitl then I wouldn't start an other war or work in that direction. But it's up to you.

That's really odd. Is anyone keeping a daily record of changes?

There's a nearly complete record of Crimsom Electronics fall from grace in the Exioce war thread. Our former rival's influence is now down below 8% - Crimsom is now in last place as far as minor faction ranking is concerned. It makes no sense that they won the war with the Order.

I would advise the opposite - weaken the Exioce Democrats so that the only fight OOM will have is with Allied PLC.

Since we're not sure if the destruction of Exioce Democrat ships will have the side effect of strengthening Allied - we need to undermine their economy instead.

Taking Exioce Democrat missions and abandoning them will do this. Adopting Imperial vs Imperial power play undermining techniques by interdicting Exioce Democrat ships then spilling/stealing their cargo (without destroying the ship) is another possibility.

Since I need to practice my non-destructive undermining and learn interdiction too anyway - my Viper3 will be haunting Exioce Democrat space soon :)
