Same FD thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthrea ... 664&page=3
The impact ship killing has is just ridiculous and needs to change. It's not even biased towards flipping, that was 1.3 and it was quite a lovely patch. Now it's just disorder everywhere.
This post was about how two guys can oppose a whole group simply through this tactic.

"Fair enough I hear you say? Well, yeah, it is fair enough but all the changes they have made in the BGS lately are to facilitate PP and the quick turn over of systems. So much so that it is actually impossible for a group of 20 players to combat the efforts of two players who choose to stop them in their tracks.

Does anyone not believe me? I lay down the challenge. Pick a system and push the BGS there. Me and my buddy will ruin it for you."

@Kilrathi may have been doing the right thing all along. I'm seriously thinking of doing the same thing to whoever wins the ExDem-CrimsomElectronics civil war. Those bases belong to us. Will ask the Dukes about this too.

QA-Kae just posted he would look into our issue further on the bug report.
Here's to hope. ;)

Well, the good news is that I refused to let the bug report die after Kae's flippant responce, and kept bumping it back to the top of the forum every few days, and Kae has finally responded saying he'll look into it.

Meanwhile, the result of the Civil war in Exioce between Crimson and the Democrats may have an interesting outcome as they both own stations.

If the answer we get from Kae is not what we want to hear, perhaps a course of action for the OoM would be to put Exioce on the backburner and regroup at Azrael to make it go into expansion again. Hopefully next time, the system we expand into will not be 'borked'.

Just a thought!

On that basis, as well as my BGS testing which is slow but going as expected, I will keep tabs on Exioce but concentrate my efforts on Azrael.

20% of the influence in Azrael is locked out to us until the war between Brib and Azrael P.P. ends but there is another 10.4% to play for.

Can anyone remember or has a note of the level of influence OoM had when they last went into Expansion?

It was 70%, but reports on the large BGS thread on the main forum indicate that the required level may now be 75%

I've prepared a message for Walt Kellerman, author if the BGS&minor faction article. How does it look? How do you send a private message on the FD boards?

-------

Hi Walter, I belong to the Order of Mobius and our current leader is Xebeth who you can contact in the elitepve.com site in case you want to check my credentials.

We recently expanded to Exioce from our Azrael homebase and fought a war with an NPC minor faction there. Our victory though didn't result in any base turnover despite our having a wide margin of victory which is why a bug report was filed.

I'm writing to you on behalf of the group to ask for your insights or knowledge re:expansions , things to watch out for that may not be described in full in your excellent BGS & minor factions post that may help us. Even if our Exioce effort proves to be a bust despite all our efforts ,we intend to keep on trying till we succeed.

Sincerely,

Cmdr Tifu

I think if you click on their profile there is an option to private message.
