Covert Federal Navy Slave Transport

Postby com.fredrick » Fri Jun 30, 2017 8:48 pm

Hi and greetings to all of you,

I am quite new (for 70 somewhat hours) in this game and in Mobius (just handed in my group request today) BUT I was witness to something stange just right now - well I guess it strange, as I thought that slavery in the Federation and in the Empire is forbidden and so I wanted to ask if this is common or maybe a mistake / bug ?

There was a federal covert navy (ranking up) mission to transport slaves. the transport, it said, was approved by the federal navy.

It did not appear to be a "free the slaves" mission, just a covert slave transport where on could get caught as it was stated that the slaves at the receiving station are illegal.

Well, this is not crucial, at least not for me, as I did not accept the mission. But poor slaves, I had rather set them free somewhere in a free system (is this even possible when one acceps such a mission?) - the mission was briefed in Bipeduwa, Murray Vision (Felicia Winters)

this mission will certainly be long gone when I get ingame next time, but I wanted to know if you ever experienced similar.

thanks,

Nope, perfectly normal mission.

The feds would partake of more vices and in less savoury ways than the imperials, they simply pretend not to.

Like the popes of old who condemns breaches of celibacy at mass, and then tootles off to their country estates to host a prostitute-fornication party Berlusconi would be impressed by.

Imperial Slaves and Slaves are not illegal in all jurisdictions, Imperial Slaves can be illegal in Empire Space. When it is illegal then you have to run silent/smuggle and require Black Market. At a quick lance Bipeduwa has a Black Market and prohibits any slaves even at Murray Vision. Also if an item is illegal in a System it does not mean it is illegal in the entire system as some Stations do not have a product band.
