Also a correction on the 'apply filter' on route plotting.
It doesn't only plot scoopable, it will try to plot scoopable but if there are non it will plot barren as well or we would constantly have to uncheck this when traversing larger barren areas.

But in practice there are far more scoopable stars than not, so if you do check this your are good.

For a while I wondered why has there been so many cases in NLTT 48288 system, but then I noticed that it is close to LHS 3447. Same goes for MCC 811. Still a bit strage why those two stand out from others.. Missions offered from LHS 3447 that take players further than the fuel tank allows, through those two systems?
I play on PC, in the Mobius PVE Eurasia group.

After starting up a new Commander last week, I can totally understand that. I was at the point I could get Cmdr. The A-Team a Cobra. Found the perfect place 21 light years away, Easy right? Not really, the only way to get there was a convoluted route that made my 8ly jumping Sidewinder take 18 jumps to get 21ly to the system and would almost 110ly total in the route.

Based on that, I am surprised they are not MORE active in that area.

It was something about max range of a sidey, I think, and lacking stations.

I think it was the last station you were docked into. If you take the 'old layout'.
If you take the free sidewinder, I think it is LHS 3447 then. In this case the station name might be told on the screen.

Depends a little when you started.
In response to idiots camping the known starter spot in open and blowing up the new players. FD sometime ago randomized the starter station and system, but should be in the somewhat same area in fed space.

But know if you rebuy you get your whole ship back with engineered modules, for 5% of the cost.
If you pick the free sidey, you loose everything.

I found a video on the CCN IRC and it said go watch "Suicidewinder" .
They show you the panel, tic, tic, tic ...boom!
Still takes a long time, powering down then bullseyeing a star works much faster.
I was buying a new ship, and needed a taxi over to get it. Well, we were in a hurry, and forgot a scoop.
Third star and I went to scoop, notta. BOOM!

I went up ships creek without a scoop.
