Made it into a Python!

Postby Datcon517 » Sat Apr 08, 2017 10:59 am

Hey guys. Pretty excited to say that I have worked my way up to a Python. She's far from "A" rated, but she packs some punch for the NPC's and will primarily be a trader/courier for the time being, until I have her outfitted for more risqué types of things .

I know a lot of people say not to bother with the Python until you have the credits to outfit her right off the bat, but so far I'm finding her a very capable trading ship that can more than hold her own. I'm upgrading a module or two at a time as I build up funds. Here's what we have so far:

Congratulations on the Python, it's a damn fine ship and will serve you well.

It took a while too A Rate mine when I first got it, but as long as you have the insurance then that's part of the fun

Thanks Xebeth. Definitely, part of the fun is upgrading it. Certainly has me working extra hard for those credits too

Huge difference having 75mil to spend and me who had about 50 mil when I first tried a python.

It did not go well when I tride to kill a deadly conda with the same tactics as my vulture...
Probably didn't help that I hit self destruct...

Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

LOL. It'll be a while before I have the courage to take on a high ranking Anny. Certainly have to give you credit for having the guts to try though!

I had just enough to buy the Python and cover the insurance, when I got it. Also invested a few credits in a Cobra to have as a back up just in case I had to use that insurance money a bit too early (which did happen). I then used the a Cobra to build credits back up until I could safely bring the Python back out

Congrats on your Python Cmdr, I know the feeling, I too used to fly it mostly for trading and salvaging cans from moons at start till I fully A rated it.
Now I use it for combat/RES mostly tho the fitting is more multipurpose.
This is my curent setup atm.

That is an awesome build! It'll take me a while before I can get her up to your specs. She's doing a great job for me in her current role, but would certainly like to get her somewhere around your build down the road. Thanks for sharing Doomguide!

Congrats on the Python. I've been playing this game since it went live, and the Python is still one of my favorite ships. In fact, I'm in mine right now, running missions. :)

When I first got my Python, I had it all D rated. It was great at mission running and trade routes with that setup. Solid and fun money maker.

Enjoy it!

Thanks JohnLuke. It is a great ship and I have been having a ton of fun with it so far. Can't wait to get her upgraded further so she can mix it up a bit.
