A scripted event is not surprising, having a person flying it would make it a limited time event, giving it some sort of AI control may simply have meant too much work for a simple scan and run.

The issue for me is not that it is a scripted event. It is the fact that it is completely 400% the same. Same angles and movements. FD as we know with Engineers are the Kings of RNG. If they did an RNG approach angle, distance before the turn, slight variations even, then I would be okay with it, because every encounter would be unique. Nope. Bad time to NOT RNG.

I assume each player only gets to see it once, so it would be unique to them. The problem is everyone posting the same video online - and people watching them. If it was just a forum post, or a Galnet article, then people would only think the situations were similar - not identical. IMO, of course.

I love that he has the whole thing memorized - like reading a police report of a traffic accident in court. The only difference for him is that he gets to have the same experience for himself in a higher resolution. I could see wanting to experience in VR, as that would be different from all the online videos. Anyway, I feel that I've experienced it by now.
