Hello everyone,
I've just spent five days unable to play due to landing directly in a Neutron flare. Most of you know about these by now, but the long and short is that you land in the flare and immediately the ship is thrown to different trajectory and generally buffeted about. It's very easy to get too close to star and get pulled out of high wake and then that's it. Due to masses of exploration data, I leapt for reset switch and then raised ticket with FD as I had been absolutely unable to do anything about the crash and wanted to see if it was either (a) tough luck, or (b) wrong game mechanic and maybe restore me nearby.
Luckily FD did restore me (and hopefuly my scan data - haven't got home yet to check), and told me:
"Thanks for getting in touch and I'm sorry that you've had this issue.
Dropping out of Super Cruise into a Neutron Star Flare is a know bug at the moment that we are working to fix.
So to help you out in this situation I have moved you over to another nearby system.
You should be able to log in fine now and if you have any further issues then please let me know."
Clearly this will be fixed with later patch, but in the meantime I strongly advise you to avoid Neutron Stars and White Dwarves until this is fixed.
