I've been busy this weekend fighting for the Order of Mobius in the war in Cardea. Got some great massacre missions yesterday. Worked the CZ for about 2 hours with a friend. Killed 108 enemy ships, made $52mil.

Also ran over to Rahu earlier in the day to participate in the BH CG. The Unauthorized Installation (near the 2nd planet) is pretty cool. That's the first time I've seen swarms of wanted ships around a 'station'. Very cool (and great hunting)!

After finally getting some decent missions within my jump range, I managed to get my Alt to an LYR system and then to Fehu, where a day of planetary scan mission stacking fixed my money issues. Bought a Cobra Mk III, got a tip-off about a planetary base on Torno 3. The idea of assaulting the base in the SRV and starting by blowing up the security power generator could have been straight out of the manual of General Elphinstone, and the base defences kicked the crap out of me.

After that, I took the Alt in her unmodded Cobra Mk III into the High CZ at Cardea to brush some of the rust of my combat skills: While 32 combat bonds to 4 rebuys is not as bad as I feared, I felt seriously underskilled and underdressed...

The alt is now on her way into the north because the whale is coming south, and a burden will be passed between the brain-dead.

NOTE:
We experienced heavy Wing issues, with the other showing as destroyed but still in wing, voice comms dropping, oscillating ships out of the game and in again seconds later, and showing as "Supercruise" when the other visibly sat on the landing pad. Even as a Fuel Rat (>100 rescues) I seldom had such problems, and never of this kind. Beta seems to strike hard ...

Legged it VERY quickly (Bobbing and weaving....Ducking and a diving) out of the base.....

Only to find I'm on a planet that's as bumpy as Twiggy's chest.....

Thought I'd find somewhere to sneakily hide and take the Viper out........No chance.....

So after a few repairs.......And a good few minutes.....Got bored and combat logged.......

Personally I have dusted of a vulture tonight.
Took off to see the farseer, got it bumped up a few Ly, think I only had the bits&bobs for a lvl 3 mod.
I also put a lvl DD tune up on the thrusters so it now does 470ms on boost.
That's faster than my toy eagle.

I then proceeded to pop in on Broo and got some high level mods on the pulse lasers.
Trying out a sturdy mod since that gives me a very good boost to armor penetration.

Lastly it was back out again, this time to laksak and got the bi-weaves a thermal resist boost to positive 30 percent.

The results is so far very enjoyable.
I genuinely enjoy this beast, not even a deadly fdl could take more than a ring off before his power plant was done
