In Open, the usual suspects were there en-masse last night.
I was exploring there again last night, in a smaller PG, but did drop into Mobius to have a look, my instances had friendly Mobians in it.

The best page for news on the ruins is the first few posts on the thread on the FD forums

Yup. Been following the Alien ruins discovery on the main forums under dangerous discussions. They've stickied the thread.
The suspicion is that this is the first a number of others. If more people are interested they can start looking for other sites in Systems around the 1st one.
Problem is that these sites don't show up as POIs. Good thing is that their big enough to be seen 10km above.

Made it to Jaques station in time for the 2.2 drop, spent some time exploring the new stations in the Colonia nebula and the refuelling outpost nearest the nebula afterwards. The amount of information in the player journal is amazing, and ED Discovery 5.x, Captain's Log 2.0 beta, and EDMC 2.2 make fascinating use of it. Most importantly, I have a list of all the stellar data I sold to Universal Cartographics at the various stations, and which ones were first discoveries. Especially as these include five of the eight earth-likes I found on this trip

Seems taking 1% fsd damage in a Corvette is unavoidable when jumping into a white dwarf system.

Currently banging my head against the wall while trying to scan wakes for the farseer FSD upgrades. This is the first time ive done any wake scanning and man is it annoying. I bought the cheapest scanner mainly because im in my taxi asp that has no power to spare. So finding a wake, and then getting within 2km of it before the damn thing goes away is not fun. And I still havent got any of the wakes that I need

I jumped into a white dwarf system for the first time earlier and as soon as I moved I started spinning and heating like mad. Dont know how I got out of it but I just about did.

And of course once I complain about not finding the scans I need, I end up getting 9 in less than 10 minutes. Time to RNGineer!
