Who else where drops their landing gear when they get within 500m of the station entrance?

That's something I would never do because I am in a hurry to get into the station before I get scanned, as that would mean either failed missions or nasty fines for my "special" cargo. If necessary, I will happily accept an impact into the far wall, the repair bill is usually lower than the fine would have been

I had some nice experiences in the Phiagre CG yesterday.

In the afternoon, I dropped into the Haz-RES and was immediately invited to Wing up by RaggedToad. We had a friendly and profitable hour or so.

In the evening, I returned and saw that there were three CMDRs in the Haz-RES. I was about to jump out and go to solo to avoid any conflicts, but again was invited to Wing up. I joined with Zaparthes, Bailablestone12, and DoomGuyJack. I picked up about 1.5M CR in bounties over the next hour, before everyone decided to head out rather than risk any disturbances in their domestic tranquility. It was fun having my Python be the smallest ship in the group, as the other CMDRs had an FDL, an Anaconda, and a Corvette IIRC.

Those were my first two times I had been in a Wing, and I didn't know any of the CMDRs before this weekend. I continue to be impressed by the friendliness and cooperation with our group.

Last night the A-Team worked on Kharmas Purse and Dawgs Trade Rank. Dawg is so close now that tonight should put him over the top. Kharma is making back some of the coin he spent outfitting the Python. And me, well I passed a 1/2 billion in cash, but still my assets are about 80 million short of the elusive billion.

Also, as a little side note, I have spend 1,072,xxx,xxx on OUTFITTING! and 913 million on ships. That means I have played with over 3 billion since my save clear last August. I really need to stop testing ships and switching loadouts.

Oh and 1748 skimmers killed by guns with one more that was taken out by me in my SRV by ramming in mid air (which took about 47 attempts to get).

Only 5.56 Mm driven. Need to work on that.

Man, I feel like an inefficient fool after playing for just under a year.

My net worth is only a paultry $60M, yet I've spent nearly $300M in outfitting alone. That means I've changed out, and likely lost, a good chunk of wealth over time.

In any case, you guys are gods compared to noobs like me.
