Yeah, but how awesome would it be if the aliens are revealed to be destroying stations one at a time, forcing a human expansion towards the core, and away from the dark space? I mean, we're ostensibly outer rimmers in the Sol sector of space. Aliens that thrive on the dark space of old stars would be pretty effing awesome.

Hey, I have an idea. Let's name the alien race. Our enemy will be called.. Rimmers, because they inhabit the Rim. I've found an image on GalNet of their leader.



These beasts are known to cause station destruction by signing onto a repair crew, and subsequently smegging up the job, nuking the entire crew, causing a systemic failure and station implosion.
