I'm leaning towards the alliance myself, only because both of the other two factions seem a bit extreme. I don't like that the empire has an all powerful senate, but I don't like how many things are banned within the federation, or that they're corrupt by corperations. So either Alliance, or independent is what I'd pick.

After listening to the laveradio podcast and watching the vid, I'm pretty sure that I'll go indep. All the others sound like first class scum.

I'd choose independence too, but I'm not against rallying the Empire it if means cooperative fun and that kind of stuff.

This post pretty much sums it up for me, wasn't planning on empire but if it results in a more rewarding co-op game then I'd be up for that.

It seems we will have two major factions shaping, not saying that this result speaks for the whole group.

Why not Setting up different channels on TS for every faction? So all the different players can meet up at a given system going for their targets?

Im not trying to Split the group, nor do I try to change anything on the rules. Just a bit focused teamplay.

Cant stress this enough, a CMDR is no valid target.

The beloved Emperor is dead (or will be on the 16th), which is going to cause a power vacuum that the Feds and Alliance are going to be keen to fill.

Then there is going to be the internal Civil War that is bound to start within the Empire as various parties fight for the title of Emperor.

The overflow TS already has faction rooms. I'm sure that can easily be sorted on the main one as well
