Joining the Order of Mobius

Aside from joining this site, and the private group (I'm in Mobius PvE), how does one join the faction Order of Möbius? I know this is a noob question, but hey, I'm still fairly nooby...

Can I pledge to the faction and still be in ALD? (At least until OOM becomes a PP faction)

On a related topic - how do you guys get those cool pictures of your character for your signatures?

The in game faction has nothing to do with PP fortunately. All you have to do is go to Azrael and do some missions for the Order to become Allied. Also helping when conflict zones come up for expansion is good too.

I am currently making my way down from Lave to Azrael with economic jumps, doing detailed scans of everything. I already read somewhere that the quarter million or so in scan data I will probably assemble will help the minor faction if I sell it at a station owned by the order. Let's see if it helps with my standing with the order as well. If not, surface ports mean SAR missions, and those are high reputation. 4-6 escape pods should do it

Yeah those are nice. I'm just not a fan of "Maybe it'll be at this POI" 1 hour later "Maybe it'll be in this POI"... That may not be everyone's experience but RNG hates me in any game I play. Especially when it comes to finding particular items... I have over 1000 hours in Marvel Heroes and still have yet to find certain artifacts lol.

Unfortunately, currently there is no in-game way to pledge as Angvir says all you can do is complete mission to show your support and aid The Order. Hopefully one day FD will implement a system that allows you to show you support in-game.

Many of our Commanders are pledged to ALD, and there is no problem with that (just don't discuss politics in Raff Raff's).

As for the character, mine and most (if not all) of the others come from Eve, I've never actually played Eve, I just downloaded the free trial, created my character, took some screen shots and then deleted the game.

Hmm, when I am doing then, every POI has a crash site with 1-7 pods, and it is perfectly possible (not to mention profitable) to hit several POI in the course of one mission, and collect pods in every of them.

SEE! Video games hate me... Every time I go into a POI for survivors its a salvage POI, and vice versa. However now that I've complained about it the game will throw me a bone for a couple days then go back to its shenanigans. Happened the other day while doing a rank up mission to retrieve stolen trade data. Took 2.5 hours to find a WSS with the data in it.

Yep.......

I if possible take a low paying one....Go out....First POI normally one or two and then just carry on searching till the mission expires......Because whilst the mission is active, POI's that would normally be canisters are escape pods......Yes you take a rep hit with the faction...But you will make it up with other missions that appear.........

Looking for secondary sources on the wave scanner whilst in the SRV helps as well.....

Hit 3 once doing that.....2 with 7 and one with 5.......Good night that..... Came back with 44 in total......Cycled the boards for a while and made about 7 Mill......Plus they rank your rep up nicely with the faction.......

Mind you that was an exceptional night......

But it is very profitable........

Yes you take a rep hit with the faction...

Take an OoM mission to deliver something to a surface station in a system where the OoM has no presence, deliver your goods, and then pick up escape pod missions from the BB of that port, and collect the pods there. That way, you take the rep hit with the Purple Penguins of whatever, which does not matter. After that, go back to Azrael and use the pods to complete OoM missions. Works just fine, and the guys and gals in the pods have never uttered a word of protest about being delivered to another system...

Yea I meant a rep hit with the faction who the mission is for....
