Your "senior" moment(s)?

After searching and not finding an answer, this seemed like a good place to ask.

Setup: on the way back from a RES, I interdict a pirate and load up on progenitor cells. When I get back to the station, I forget to sell them. Next day, I head out to the RES and promptly get fined for illegal cargo. WTF, it's too late now, so I just continue hunting and then get fined again for the same infraction.

Question: is this normal - getting fined multiple times for the same infraction?

I'm not worried about the fine - it's like a scratch on a flea's ass. I'm just curious.

I would imagine that as long as the monitor above your heat signature reads "ILLICIT CARGO" you will be fined for each time a different ship scans you. But I've little experience with smuggling.

I guess the search tool is the true king of resurrecting old threads.


Anyway, getting fined for the same thing twice in 20 minutes is like getting a ticket for a broken tail light, then getting a ticket for the same thing on the way to the auto parts store, then getting another ticket on the way home. If you have 24 hours to pay the fine, then that should stand. It's abuse.

I think this is a bug.


And this thread never should have been abandoned - we just forgot about it. D'oh!

Hmm maybe I should make spreadsheet for speeding/bumping fines for a week and post them here.
As well as every time I get turned around and try to sell stuff same place I bought them
Or simply forget to buy and run empty...
