12 to 24 hours once you've sent the request, there is only one person who can accept new members so you have to wait for the next time he logs in and as its 2 am in his time zone it won't be until tomorrow now.

I joined Mobius earlier this week and log into the private group 'Mobius' - I waited about 24 hours before acceptance came through - but so far haven't seen one other CMDR playing in the game. It's as if I'm playing solo. Have I done something wrong, or am I trading in the wrong part of the galaxy? I am trading from Brooks Terminal in Turir.

Assuming you have joined the correct MOBIUS (there are imposters), which you can tell by checking in the 'Friends and Private Groups' tag in the Menu screen, our group has 19k odd members, then you are probably just in the wrong area. You'll find a lot of other Commanders in and around Azrael.

Yeah, there are 19,000+ of us but we're thinly spread. I was doing some Federal military missions last week and I saw a few CMDRs in and around the Tun system. And if you have access to Shinrarta Dezhra there's normally a cluster of players at Jameson Memorial taking advantage of the discounted upgrades. Otherwise Azrael, or active Community Goal systems, are your best bet for finding other Mobians.
