Teamspeak is it a place for men to slag of female members?

I have listened to too many male players/members who slag off female members in TeamSpeak.

Its not much fun listening to so called long standing members slagging off well known female members in teamspeak just because of how they talks, sounds, asks a question, or even how they look.

I do not like it myself when some small minded people abuse me in teamspeak, but it really annoys me when so called good members think its perfectly alright for them to abuse a female member just because they come into teamspeak.

If this is how Mobius members treat their female members then what is the point of the Mobius group if a selected group of members cannot enjoy using teamspeak. I do hope that everybody realises that abusing somebody because of their sex is wrong and those people should no longer be allowed to be members of the mobius group.

Please feel free to report behavior that you find inappropriate or offensive to the forum’s administrators. You can email us from this page or you can send a PM to “Administrators” (without the quotes) once you’ll have made 3 posts on the forum.

The group is intended to be a friendly place for everyone and discrimination on sex, ethnicity, sexual preference or whatever won’t be allowed. I’m not saying that offenders will be immediately banned, but you can be sure that they’ll be warned and watched, and eventually banned if their behavior doesn’t improve.

In the meantime, please accept the administrator’s apologies if you were personally abused or offended. We hope you’ll enjoy your time in the group.

As usual, online communities are a representation of the real world in a miniature. I haven't even been on mobius' teamspeak yet and for that reason I have winged up with only one mobius member so far. After seeing this report I'm certainly not becoming motivated to do so. And I am not even female.

Have not been on Mobius teamspeak, so I can't comment on what was said there. I have winged up with a number of Mobius Commanders and have yet to hear any talk like this on wing chat.
I'm not female but I am against disparaging or verbally abusing any member of the gaming community. Although I have been known to respond in kind.

I am very sorry to hear what you have experienced at the TS server. As the others have commented already I think it is in no way right to make disrespecting comments or talks on anyone or any "group" in particular. This environment of gaming should welcome everyone.
I do use TS sometimes, but usually sticking to the Exploration or Trading section, which are sparsely populated. And till yet had always good conversations while being in wing/ voice chat in ED myself.
Hope you will stick to the Mobius group and see (hear) not such behaviour again.

That's just plain WRONG.

If it ever spreads to our SoM Discord server, I'll be ruthless in stopping it dead in its' tracks. Hate-speech of any kind included.

HOWEVER the few times I've had a look at TS, seems the vast majority of 'regulars' there are NOT the same as the 'active members' here.

Hope the issue is resolved quickly & you can return to enjoyment of this wonderful galaxy

I checked on the TeamSpeak server: There was no complaint submitted via the TS funktions.

Please use the tools for reporting bad behaviour that TS offers you. Otherwise it is very difficult to match a report to the right TS user and to do anything about it.

Online "Boys Bully Club" mentality makes my blood boil.
I'm sure Mobius staff will do it's best to stomp this idiotic behavior to the curb, and jettison any offenders.

Being an old man that I am, I don't think this is acceptable in any walk of life and regardless of female or male, it shouldn't be tolerated. I have not yet used the Mobius TS server as I generally don't get too long to sit down and play in quantity but wouldn't be happy to listen to that when I will use it (which I will).

Yes reporting those for their attitudes towards the very few ladies who use TS would be a great idea, but then again it will make no difference to them or how they treat others.

I have reported this on the forum because everybody should know that bad manners and disrespect towards female players is not acceptable. I as a member have been in Mobius for some time, even though I have never used the forum once. For me to be incensed enough to post here shows how angry I am. Because I do not wish to NAME and SHAME anybody, let alone the ladies these idiots bad mouth, I would like members to remember the spirit of this game and how we should act towards other players be them male or female.

If those players continue to cross the line then I will, and so should others, report them through TS or direct to Wolf or Flip.
