edit: After reading all that, it's possible we're stuck because a faction can have only one state at a time. Luckily, states have 3 day cooldowns, so once the boom ends, the civil war should start. How to end the boom? I dunno.

CIVIL WAR IN HIP 15868!!

Please run missions for Hip 15868 Life LTD. You can also get some kills in the CZ's, but I think missions have more impact.

Soon this independent system will be Empire.

There weren't any missions available for the Life faction when I docked at Brosnan station so I went and farmed the conflict zone for a bit, hopefully the 0.5mil in combat bonds will have an effect. I'd have expected fighting in the civil war to have the most effect but I can't find any solid info about whether it does anything at all.

I'll try again a few times over the weekend and see what I can do.

I've read some in the main forums that say CZ doesn't have as big effect as bb missions. I dunno. I've done some CZ stuff today, so like you say, hopefully it helps.

Usually, there's a couple missions. If you do a couple, more will show up next time you dock. I don't know what to do if there's none though. You can also go over to Thornycroft Hub, also owned by Hip Life LTD. Just be careful trying to smuggle there...lots of system authority. Either way, as long as you avoid Ponce de Leon, it's all good. Info on where to get stuff nearby is on the first page/post.

Ok. I officially don't know what's gong on with the background sim.

Yesterday I turned in about 3M worth of CZ bonds for HIP Life LTD. Good right? Dunno, my standing with the faction I was slaughtering didn't change...still friendly. That's muddled at best.

They finally offered some CZ missions...4 of them actually. Did those, plus some extra kills, and my standing with the faction I was attacking finally showed a down arrow. That's good.

Now today, they are offering CZ missions...in a different sector...that they don't have a presence in. W...T...H?

Gentlemen,

It is my pleasure to inform you that as of 1 June, HIP 15868 has joined the Empire!

The gal map still shows it as Yellow (independent), and the gal map description still shows "independent", but the system info shows:
- HIP Life LTD now listed as controlling faction
- Ponce de Leon now under the control of HIP 15868 Life LTD.
- The system shows as "Empire" while in SC.
- No more civil war.

Civil war is coming to Kugay soon! Our Empire friends Kugay Interstellar is out of their 'boom' state. So all that needs to happen is for Kugay Mafia to come out of their lockdown, and we will get our war.
