Thoughts on Python versus the Clipper

I am going to try 3 burst lasers for my python, I really liked them for the vulture.

I use one Burst and one cannon on my Vulture. The burst is sufficient to take down everything Cobra sized or smaller, whilst the cannon is great for bigger targets once the shield is down.

right now, I'm running 3 class 2 gimbaled beam lasers and 2 class 3 cannons.

The beams handle everything below a clipper with no problem, and bigger?

*grin* The beams slice the shields away, and the cannons pummel an average Python in about 4 hits.

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE cannons and auto cannons, I just dont want to have to constantly rearm. 3 c3 burst lasers will annihilate almost anything in no time. The two c2 auto cannons I am going to plunk on there are going to be mainly for shredding power plants or small pesky ships with no shields. I cant wait to start hunting again!

after using all pulses or bursts on my Python, last night i went back to my old config of 2x C3 gimbal beam and 1x C3 gimbal pulse underneath - Sidewinders just melt.

i think the C2's are both either gimbal pulse or missing entirely - i never used them, never needed them. i probably took them off to increase jump range.

I only had enough spare credits to fit 3x C3/G Pulse and 2x C2/G Auto cannons on my Python atm, just to give it some teeth when these little shits interdict me. That alone shreds small ships in no time flat.
