Honestly, without at least basic engineering and some decent not-D / E rated parts, your shiny new stock corvette is a dead-in-the-black credit sink. They need a lot of understanding of engineering and a lot of credits to make usable. But, the upside is, once you've figured it all out, it's an amazing and incredibly versatile and fun ship to fly. It just takes a lot of money and a lot of grind.
In the meantime, don't take it anywhere. Don't use it for anything. Pretend you don't own it. Mine in a Python, make your money, farm those engineering parts, read up on builds and decide in advance of shelling out all those mats and credits what you want to do with it. Make friends with inara.cz and coriolis.io
Further advantage of mining in a python, whose parts are easily and cheaply reconfigured to suit whatever purpose you wish to set it to is market prices: when you sell your cargo in a T9 (as an example of massive-hulled mining ship. I'm perplexed why you'd do this in a 'vette), that massive hold can clear the demand in a single station, compromising the price you get. In a python you're selling smaller loads which means you're less likely to shift the market, which means you'll be getting consistently better prices.
Anyway. That's my tuppence. Ultimately do what you want, eh?
