I cant do that long though, unfortunately, probably about 60-90 mins before my brain starts screaming that something isnt right and I get a little motion sickness. Thats combat though, I can do more if I'm just trucking around.
The strangest thing though, is the delayed motion sickenss I get occasionally. I'll be lying in bed a few hours later and the room will spin for a few minutes.

In preperarion for upcoming changes I added 8A sensors to the Corvette (bringing the A rated life support down to D), no power issues but lost 0.66ly range: http://inara.cz/cmdr-fleet-edit/995/31491

I'm using the GU-97 with gimballed beams. I'll consider switching to fixed beams after a bit more time in the seat. The GU-97 is an extremely responsive and fast fighter. Sure it dies easily, but a size 6 fighter bay holds 16. Plenty of fun packed in there. :D

I am fortunate that I don't have any motion sickness issues. I struggle with the pressure on top of my head from the Vive's head strap compounded with my headphones pushing down a bit on the strap. After 60-90 minutes it gets to me and I usually switch to 2-D.

Spent the night selling a few of my ships and forking out 225 million on upgrading my Anaconda.

Having way more fun the legally allowed with the ship launched fighters. Not only is flying these little ships a blast, working together to take out enemies is just as enjoyable. I think I will do as JohnLuke did and take a green pilot and train with them.

I went with 2 GU-97F, fixed beams with heat sink launchers.

Glad you're having fun with the SLF's. :D Training a green horn didn't take me much time really. I went to a CNB and hunted mostly elite and deadly NPC's. Those increase your rank (and I assume your slf pilot) the fastest. By training a rookie, she's costing me 7% of the take instead of 12%. I'll keep that extra 5%, thank you very much. ;)

I'm just seeing how my crew handles this fighter I've got. So far they miss more than the hit. I'm like a mother cat swatting the enemy ships unconcious so they can take it out. Not really sure when they get awarded with progression points towards the next rank, do they need to kill it, is it based on the amount of damage they've done?
Also, somehow the AI pilot managed to take quite a bit of shield damage while I was out in the GU-97 and left them back in charge, in all fairness, just tonight she went up from Harmless to Mostly Harmless (so I'm only paying them 2%).
I'll be taken her out hunting again tomorrow, see if that increase has actually done something for her aim. As long as I am better at flying the fighter than she is, I'll keep a close eye on her.

Putting in the grind to get from deadly to elite (because reasons). If anyone else has an urge to shoot, by all means join in.

From my experience, they have a hard time hitting the broad side of a barn at lower rank levels. Mine is now either expert or master, and she's become a very good shot. Keep trainin, and your sfl fighter will progress quickly and become much more useful. AFAIK, they get rank progression points as long as they fire on the target that you two kill together, or if they get solo kills that's fine too. I initially spent some time in a Compromised Nav Beacon hunting mostly elite and deadly NPC's. (faster rank progression for us, so I assume it's the same for the slf pilots). It didn't take long at all to get her from mostly harmless through novice and competent and part way through expert. (maybe an hour or so).

She can now take on and kill pythons, clippers (master or dangerous level)etc on her own. It takes a bit of time and possibly the loss of a fighter along the way, but she'll get it done. A friend of mine just let his slf pilot go solo on a dangerous conda. He said that it took about 10 minutes, but the slf got the kill solo. In the meantime, my friend was killing other NPC pirates in the area.

They are certainly an asset when trained. they can be used to get faster kills (working with you on each kill), or send them on a different target in a wing while you destroy the NPC wingmen. Or use them to disctract NPC's while you run for the hills with no shields and low hull.

I may just take you up on that. I'll keep an eye out for you over the next few days and see if our times coincide. I'm not working on rank progression, but I like killing stuff. Are you working a CNB or Haz-RES?
