So... I discovered that if you enter super cruise or just a hyperspace jump with assistance off then, when you arrive at the end of a jump, your throttle is zeroed and you're carrying no velocity. This has meant that I've jumped into neutron star jets and been fine. The jets seem to make control difficult if you're actually moving, but if you're stationary you just seem to get shoved sideways out of the jet.

I'm not sure what happens if you're using an HOTAS setup and zero the throttle before the jump ends though

it depends, even at zero throttle, my conda was absolutely REFUSEING to exit the beam, and eventually, I was drug out of SC. We really need a fix that just prevents us from landing in the things
