What are you doing (ingame) now?

Did some mid-range hauling / exploration in my ASP Exp (now close to comlete A-rate - supported the CGs at MAIA ) hoping for more to come in this quire interesting area of space. Than as a result of some reading in the forums i decided to give SOTHIS a try. Improved my standings there with missions SOTHIS / CEOS and did 2 hauling journeys (refitted the ASP to kind of a hauler with 80t space) and earned ~ 22 Mio. for each journey.

Questions:

- next "all rounder ship" - should be a Python?
- how to reach next rank within Federation ?
And at the moment i'm somewhat stuck at chief petty officer (100%) with no offers for progression. Moved already to some Federation systems and didn't find any specific ranking missions (assuming that there will be "special" missions to increase the ranking?). Or do i need a special standing with Federation first? (iÄm not yet friend, don't remember the name for the rank before). Or do i need to complete more missions for the Fed and at some point a specific mission may spawn?

If you want to give it a shot, it's only 25 kly from Sol, and 3.1 kly from Jaques. Driving around in 9.9G is an interesting experience, and as a fellow explorer found, dismissing your ship in 9.9G is ... not a good idea:

In my eternal, but so far unsuccessful, search for a working geyser in beta I thought I would checkout out Actaea in the Sol system, and wow what a fantastic little planetoid.

Nothing but deep winding canyons, stunning to look at and even more fun to fly around. It's only 300 or so km in size and has a gravity so low that it actually registers as 0.00.

Ah, the joy of driving up a near vertical cliff at full pelt in your SRV, launching 150m into the air and then landing with no damage.

Also found out that NPCs can't fly in canyons for toffee. The first, an Eagle, didn't make it around the first sharp turn, the FDL that came second did better, it took three turns before he was just a smear on a canyon wall. Made me feel really quite smug seeing as I'm in a fat arsed Orca with the stopping ability of a continental drift.
