I was being lazy, and going to FTL to a system next door to Shoujeman, 1.16LY away, instead of flying the 150LS back in superluminal flight back to the star.

What should I find? A compromised nav beacon! Exactly what I wanted! Too bad I was unable to buy my GU97 back when I tried to sell it and rebuy it.. now I'm stuck with a taipan and a F63.

You need 5k out from your starting point. So make sure you go from that value on your stats page, not just "5k from random base I call home" or whatever. I left for Jaques thinking I was further away,w hen it was almost 500LY closer than my actual starting point, so I wasn't at 5kLY when I thought I was. Stats page fixes all this issue.


Flying down to Daimler to repair and restock. Got a bunch of Deadly, Master, and Elite kills. a few million in bounty vouchers fill my hold now..

Actually, that's enough Elite for me. Gonna burn myself out before 2.3 actually launches. Time to go work on the Singleplayer Backlog. I wonder if Bioshock Remastered is fixed.

I went with engineered Asp. The views were better in VR.

An engineered Conda will get you there and back quicker (higher maximum jump), it all depends on what else you want out of the trip. It will take a lot longer if you go efficient and do more than honk, scan, jump. This wont give you much exploration data though (of any real value)

As Darr Valen says, look at your stats page to make sure you are over the 5000 from your game start location before turning back...

And fit the largest fuel scoop you can fit / afford.
