Yesterday I decided it was time to start doing some naval progressions. I have only ever done one mission, that was in Fed space and I am a Fed Recruit. But now, I am in Empire space.
So, yesterday, starting with no rank, but friendly status I started hitting the boards and flying all the humanitarian/delivery missions. I never took a kill mission as I didn't want to gain wanted status in Empire space. I watched the factions carefully. I did earlier in the day, take out a bounty that was not wanted in the local system so I had to find an outpost to pay off that fine, but other than that, I stayed clear.
So with no rank whatsoever, I played a few hours and as of 12:01 am (I am pissed that I missed the midnight cutoff I put on myself, stupid Super Cruise) I handed in my "Kill General Greene" mission and finished the day as Squire with my Empire Home World permit as well.
Not a bad day. Hopefully I can get to Baron today, then I need to find a Fed Station to cash in some bounties and make some trade money so I can eventually own that shiny Clipper.
Oh, and whenever I enter a system/instance where there is another CMDR, I always make a point of saying hello. Just because I am friendly that way.

Ignore the Vulture I am flying. It's for my safety, not yours.
