Just had my own encounter. Was carrying two UAs at the time. Ship hangs around for some time after the encounter, and leaves a scannable wake.

Hope the encounter is not a one-off. Next time I see one, and it's still around, I'm going to jettison a UA at it.

And I've got my own little video of an encounter! It is certainly better live, but my video is identicle to everyone elses.

I had Unknown fragments onboard. I was flying with a UA but it was causing too much damage (no resistant racks) so I broke it up into the fragments.

Saving the video also threw an error for my SSC app, so I'll take a look at why that was later.

UPDATE: Found the issue with the SSC. New version available that can cope with the new event.

Maybe those unknown artifacts are actually baby Thargoid ships. And some of you break them to pieces, you monsters..

Anyways, it turns out that the children of planet Earth have been voting for our Thargoid overlords for some time already.

And where's our Thargoid bobblehead ? Still not in the FD store..

Had my own hyperdiction earlier today. Two jumps later my cargo scoop corroded and the UA fell out.



The third and largest crash site has more UA's and cargo laying around.
