Hmm, thinking about it, since i was planning on stopping to neglect my powerplay faction and go interdict stuff, limpets and collector controller should help in getting materials!

I came up with that in beta 1.

I wasn't in Beta. Kharma was, but he spent most of his time Drunkenly Flying a FDL with an E1 Fuel Scoop halfway across the bubble and the rest was arguing over him not being able to fit a Discovery Scanner to tell him where his mission was, because he had no room, but was adamant that his docking computer was not going anywhere.....

That's how Roger, Alice, Ricky and Ralph and the rest of the stupid names for ship parts came to be. Not to be confused with Dawg being so mesmerised by the Collector/Prospect Limpets that he named every single one and in the time I filled a Pythons hold mining, he mined Two Rocks in his Mining Asp.

Warning: They Collect everything in sight. That includes the Illegal Cargo that gets dropped in a Nav Beacon filled with Cops when a Bad Guy gets Blown up. You have been warned. This message Brought to you by Kharma's attempt to do the same in a Nav Beacon, and then blaming ME for it happening cause it was my idea, although he never asked and never told me he was going to a Nav Beacon.

The limpet Controller is called "Ricky the &§!#%* " for a reason. :P

Sure. But i interdict and kill. They rarely drop anything. But yes. A toggle for legal/iilegal goods could be nice

Limpets has two modes.
Main mode where they grab everything and anything in sight and another.
That works by selecting a single can/material etc and then launch the limpet.

The limpet will then pick up that one particular piece and die.
The cost is of course you spend as many limpets as you retrieve cargo.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

It sometimes helpful to have those limpets pick up that one black box and not the unwanted cannisters floating about.

I only use collector limpets when mining. I've gotten pretty good with the cargo scoop on my Cutter.

You can now, if you have enough storage in the ship you are changing to.

And if your cargo does not include limpets of any kind.

Along with CMDR Kaligos, trolling the Invincible that is (was?) at Merope 2A, and taking a few pics

http://imgur.com/a/1OGBX

The Invincible did not seem to mind us approaching, then flying through the superstructure, then parking inside it, parking on top of it, shunting the escorts etc. It drew the line when another CMDR opened fire, but we were able to carry on what we were doing while he was chased away.

The barnacle on the surface was awkwardly placed though, the materials kept rolling down the slope ^_^
