I voted "Independent", but I had planned on building good rep with all factions. So, I'll have to be careful about picking missions.
Having a good rep with all will (hopefully) help with hauling with fewer " entanglements".
If our stations are Empire space, I would probably make my way there, if it's not already my start point.
